MCA Clarification on format of Annual Return

MCA vide its General Circular No. 22/2014, dated 25^th June 2014 has clarified that form MGT-7 shall not apply to annual return in respect of companies whose financial year ended on or before 1^st April 2014. These companies can file their return in relevant form applicable under Companies Act, 1956.

Moreover  it is clarified that until the requisite fees is specified by companies the inspection of Register of members pursuant to section 88 and copies of returns prepared pursuant to section 92 {Rule 14 of Companies (Management and Administration) Rules, 2014}  could be allowed without any fees.
