AMENDMENT IN DEFINITION OF RELATED PARTY
MCA,
on 17th July 2014 has amended the Companies (Specification of
definitions details) Amendment Rules, 2014, the amendment will come into effect
on the date of their publication in official gazette. The amendment is as
follow;
In the companies (Specification of definition
details) Rules, 2014, in rule 3, after the word ‘a director’ the word ‘other than an independent director’ shall be inserted.
After
this amendment the rule 3 shall be as below;
3. Related party.- For the purposes of sub-clause (ix) of
clause (76) of section 2 of the Act, a director, other than an independent
director
or key managerial personnel of the holding company or his relative with
reference to a company, shall be deemed to be a related party
AMENDMENT IN COMPANIES (MISCELLANEOUS) RULES, 2014.
MCA,

(Miscellaneous) Amendment Rules, 2014 .The amendment will come into
effect on the date of their publication in official gazette. The amendment is
as below;
‘Application or form
pending before Central Government, Regional Director or Registrar of Companies
:- Any application or form filed with Central Government or Regional Director or
Registrar (hereinafter referred to as ‘the authority’ ) prior to the commencement
of these rules but not disposed by such authority for want of information or document
shall, on its submission, to the satisfaction of the authority, be disposed off
in accordance with the rules made under the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956)
